Coverage is greatly enhanced when a media release is accompanied by a relevant, attractive and newsworthy photograph. A story worth maybe only a few paragraphs of words in news value can become a picture page lead with an appropriate image.
It's almost always worth the effort in time, and occasionally cost, to create a picture to command the media's attention ... a photograph they will want to use.
